Freeride, Kona and Red Bull Host "Dust & Bones" Party to Celebrate 10 Years of Disorder at Crankworx

Blake Jorgenson's Gallery and the Firerock Lounge will be the venue for the "Dust & Bones party to celebrate 10 years of New World Disorder, Thursday August 13th, with a charity auction and teaser premiere during the annual Crankworx mountain bike festival in Whistler. Freeride Entertainment and it's partners, Kona Bicycles and Red Bull will be hosting a night of still image and art appreciation by honoring it's key contributors from the last 10 years with a gallery showing and a special printing of 10 photos from New World Disorder film shoots.

The ladies approach to things.

Kona's line up of womens bikes has both all mountain and freeride models. The Minxy marks Kona's female freeride bike and they have worked on it further to be more stable for women on the trail, while still being comfortable, and not too flashy.

The Kona Bass has been a solid slopestyle orientated bike for its whole life and for 2010 it took one more step into that realm. The Bass for 2010 has been refined down so it is as simple as it can be, and still be as functional as it needs to be.

The Street bike gets a dirt touch.

The 2009 Shonky was more of a street riding bike, with v-brakes and a rigid front fork. Kona has decided to spec the Shonky with a more well rounded build kit. The Shonky for 2010 has a much more dirt, street, and park ready build.

The Stinky Deluxe is the highest end freeride orientated bike that Kona produces. This year Kona has taken a more all mountain approach to this freeride rig, and have equipped it with a versatile line up of components, some heavy duty, some light duty.

Kona Bikes Canada recently called upon us to come take a look at their new bike lineup, and allowed us to take some photos. Sorry, no we can't provide you with the top quality shots we got, as this is a sneak peak, but here are some of the bikes, and future changes you can look forward to. Kona has clearly gone for a more simplistic graphic design for 2010, moving away from the multi-colored bikes and started looking more and more at visual aesthetics.

2010 Norco Bikes - Hardtails and BMX

We have taken a look at all the other genre's of bikes from Norco's 2010 product lineup, so now we will look at 3 bikes, from the Shore to the street. The 2010 Norco Sasquatch, 2010 Norco Two50, and the 2010 Norco Rev. One being a North Shore Hardtail designed for gnarly rock rides and big drops, the second being a hardtail designed around street riding and dirt jumps and the last being a completely rigid bike, designed for street thrashing and having fun.

Behind the scenes is somewhere everyone wants to go sometime in their life. You get to see the production side of things, how they got that angle, why that shot looks so good, or even how they made that jump. More and more film companies are coming up with unique ways of expressing this "forbidden area", and Behind the Scenes videos are one of the best ways.
