Day 3 of Crankworx - A rainy off day

Day 3 of Crankworx was filled with rain, luckily for the most the people at Crankworx it was a off day. No big events, simply a day for everyone to relax before the following week starts. Id the advent of nothing going on I decided to do a couple laps, after all it is the Whistler Bike Park!

Check inside for images from the day along with helmet cam footage...

Day 3 of Crankworx is just finishing up and the parties are just starting. It was a rainy monday in Whistler, BC and the pits were closed to the public, meaning the village of Whistler was fairly quiet. In the advent of nothing going on I decided to go do a couple of laps, so here are some photos explaining a bit about the day, and a video of me shredding some trails!

Stay tuned for another update tomorrow from Crankworx 2010 in Whistler BC!

Big thanks to Lens Rentals Canada as well for sending through some lens's that have allowed me to take some unique shots. In these photos I used a Canon 70-200mm 2.8 IS II, and a 24mm 1.4L II, two very nice lens's! Thanks again to them!

Getting sideways on here looks almost as sketchy as it did in person!

I here ya. Helmet cams are always great to relive that air, that bail, that corner... On a side note, Jordan, is shooting in the 4:3 960P mode your preference when using the chesty? Have you modified the mount at all to the camera point more upward?

Just turn the GoPro upside down, you can point it way more upwards then, flip over the final mp4 exports with Quicktime Pro using Passthru to maintain quality of the clips, or just import into editing suite and flip over. Smile

or you can when you are in the settings change the camera from "up" to "upd" then it will film upsidedown

@ westcoastdownhiller, I have the GoPro HD and they have not yet released the firmware upgrade for the "up/upd" feature. When they do, this will be a non-issue. Thanks cydaps for the advice.

Thanks anyways, I guess we both learned something. It would nice if GoPro would get off their ass and issue the firmware that adds the features that the GoPro HD was advertised to have upon release. Bit of a piss of really.

Wedge some cardboard underneath so it points up and just tape it in place, works a treat
