The Little Bike that Can - Max Max by Commencal

Last editted Feb 7, 2008 at 15:41
In 2000 a small French company was started, brandishing the name Commencal. Since that time they have been producing high quality bicycles, that appeal to all audiences. The Max Max hardtail was created as an affordable bike, but with a high quality frame. Created with the idea in mind that riders would purchase the bike at a young level, and slowly build it up over time to a bike of a higher caliber. The Max Max frame uses a very comfortable frame design, matched with good entry level parts. What's this mean to the rider? A sick frame, for an even sicker price. What else could you ask for?

Check out the Max Max.

The Big "Ben" Theory - Ben Boyko Interview

Last editted Feb 4, 2008 at 14:07
I have witnessed a few good cases of "pro's exploding onto the scene" in my riding career so far, but nothing beats Ben Boyko. After making the switch from BMX to Mountain bike, Ben was supported by a small North Shore based bike company labeled Cove Bikes. Shortly after gaining the first ever rider's segment for the Pist'N'Broke guys, and gaining segment of the year for that same segment in CKD, Ben was signed by Norco Bikes. In 2007 Ben was the crowned Crankworx 2007 Champion, and later signed a strong 3 year bond with Norco Bikes. This guy has been around the block, and knows his ups and downs.

Check out my interview with the man on this side of the water, Ben Boyko.

End of Season Video

Last editted Dec 12, 2007 at 14:14
Well folks, the weather over here at the Pinkbike HQ has finally taken a turn for the colder side. It's either rain, rain, snow, or sunshine (then rain again). So, in the advent that the weather is unable to make its mind up, I decided to throw together a little "year end" video so to say. Basically, I took a bunch of footage that didn't make it into any prior videos, combined with some footage that was in prior videos, and with a hint of footage that I filmed on the fly.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Re-Focus your eyes for this video.

Last editted Dec 8, 2007 at 18:22
Re-Focus is the sequel to the hit film Focus, which according to Dirt Magazine had an “amazing feel good factor” and included sections, which as far as Gravity Slaves.com were concerned, were “pure genius” even Descent World’s Si Paton called it a “beautifully crafted piece of editing”. But we here at Orpheus Productions are never ones to stand still, so where Focus was rough, raw and in your face, re-Focus is polished, shot in High Definition, over a period of nine months, utilising a custom designed cablecam rig to bring you shots impossible to achieve using conventional methods.

Last editted Nov 28, 2007 at 11:57
CRUX defined: A particular point of difficulty.

Ryan Leech is back at it with his newest installment of trials riding videos, cleverly named Crux. This video is jam packed full of insane trials orientated riding, including crazy rail manuals, huge gaps, and yes, riding across a chain. Ryan stepped it up a lot this year, and this video definitely reflects it. Other amazing riders featured include Thomas Ohler and Dylan Korba.

Pinkbike.com, 661, and Royal Racing. A threesome even your mom would approve of.

Last editted Nov 28, 2007 at 9:58
Royal Racing and has been supporting World Cup racers for quite some time now, and if they can crash hard and still ride out of it, why can't we? However, no one over at Pinkbike.com is World Cup material(talking about the staff here), but we sure tested the crash protection rating of the products at hand. How much abuse can 1 product take?

Let's see.
