Moss Fires in Slessy Park - Do we want to keep the trails?

Last editted Jun 2, 2009 at 12:09
To all riders in the Chilliwack/Columbia Valley area!

Recently we were filming up on a local riding hill when we came across something that disturbed all of us greatly. Tree's, burnt to the canopy, smoldering with moss. Please, who ever is lighting tree's on fire on Slessy Mountain STOP, before we are missing our trails, or worse the residence of that hill.

Claire missed the first day of practice due to still being stuck with the flu, then a big crash in practice on qualifying day banging her knee up pretty bad, didn't do much good for her confidence. She still managed a 17th place for the day which was pretty good considering.

Statement by Natural England about Steetley Downhill

Last editted May 20, 2009 at 10:21
We do not set out to spoil people's fun and we try to balance the needs of the environment and wildlife against the use and enjoyment of the countryside by the public. However digging up a SSSI to construct trails and jumps, creating pits and large areas of compacted soil and holding competitions that leave large amounts of litter is absolutely unacceptable and against the law. I am sure that no rider seeks to destroy the countryside that you all enjoy and Natural England are not out to spoil anyone's enjoyment of downhill riding but this site now needs to be restored and the habitat protected.

Last editted May 19, 2009 at 16:41
Gamut USA is a San Jose based chain guide company that has been making a large splash on the market. Gamut's chainguides are very minimalist, and designed to work correctly with limited adjustments. Gamut has gone as far as to design chain guides specifically for chain ring tooth counts, not only to work perfectly, but to be as light as possible too.

Gamut designed the P30 guide to work specifically with 36 tooth chain rings, and that's what our team riders are running, so check out the CUSTOM Pinkbike.com guides we're rocking this season!

MY11 - Aluminum legged Dorado

Last editted May 11, 2009 at 10:23
You asked for it, you got it… Arguably the only downside the upside down fork was the price tag. At $2775 MSRP the Carbon Dorado was a little outside of most people's price range, however, Manitou has come up with an "Answer" for all of you. MY11, or better known as the Aluminum Legged Dorado, is the next step for Manitou Racing Development (MRD), and it's a big one.

Ryan Berrecloth Bike Check

Last editted May 6, 2009 at 9:38
The Candyman came to town-

Ryan Berrecloth is known as the Big Claw, the Candyman and I'm sure many other alias names too, but what he is in our industry is a hard working professional. Following his passion to become a professional baseball player for 5 years in College, Ryan took up riding as a past time. Soon it engulfed his spare time and turned into his second full time job and he's doing a wicked job so far! Recently we got to sit down with Ryan in the woods, talk about his new bike, sponsors, plans, and then we tee'd up some of Vedder Mountain's great trails.

Aptos has been breeding awesome dirt jump riders for years now. Riders from all around the country have been traveling to this dirt jump mecca for years too, and they all seem to show up on the same day, and same time once a year - post Sea Otter for the Post Office Jam.

Planned for right after the Sea Otter Classic, the Aptos Jump Jam has been a pretty big deal in the California area for some time. This was our second trip, but unfortunately the last by the sounds of things for the Jam.
