2009 Australian Mountain bike Championship, Mt Stromlo Canberra.

In its third year running Mt Stromlo has been the venue for the Aussie National Champs. The track has changed heaps over the years and it is slowly getting better and better.

I arrived into Canberra on the Thursday before the race. The boys and I went for a little pedal on the XC course to get our legs spinning, because there is one thing that this course doesn't lack; pedaling.

The manufacturing industry for our sport is a cut throat business. Everyone is trying to make their product that much lighter, that much more unique, but not that much more expensive. The cost to manufacture goods has risen so much in the past it amazes me that these companies are still on the grind to create the lightest, most unique and functional parts for your bike, and they are succeeding. Recently we got the new Twenty6 F1 stem, along with the Straitline Ultra stem, so let's take a side by side look at them.

Andreu Lacondeguy wins White Style 2009 in Leogang

Twenty year old Spaniard Andreu Lacondeguy won the White Style presented by Kona on January 30th. Lance McDermott got the “Sickest Trick Award” for his tuck no hand front flip, which was the first time ever at a mountain bike competition.

Rachel Atherton Car Crash Accident - Update

Rachel Atherton was involved in a head on collision with a pickup truck while out on a casual training road ride on January 18th. The current World Champion has had a few days to recover and figure out what happened, so here is a small video updating us on how the accident happened.
