Moss Fires in Slessy Park - Do we want to keep the trails?

To all riders in the Chilliwack/Columbia Valley area!
Recently we were filming up on a local riding hill when we came across something that disturbed all of us greatly. Tree's, burnt to the canopy, smoldering with moss. Please, who ever is lighting tree's on fire on Slessy Mountain STOP, before we are missing our trails, or worse the residence of that hill.

Recently we were filming up at a local riding spot on Slessy Mountain. We did a couple laps throughout the day. One in the morning of Sunday at 11:30-12 ish, we then went and did filming/photos on our own trail. After filming there, we decided to go back to the main trails of the Slessy riding area.
We were disturbed to see what we did. In a main area known as the play ground tree's have been burnt. No, this isnt "hahaha" burnt, this is arson burnt. Some local no brainers decided to take a lighter to the bottoms of numerous tree's in the area, some which were still smoldering from being burnt!
We informed a small group of riders in the area about this issue and were blatantly told to "eff off" and it wasn't them. Were not going to point fingers or anything, but the Slessy regional fire department was informed, and they will be monitoring the area.
For a comparison, Kelowna British Columbia lost all of their forest, along with Kamloops losing massive chunks of their forest to fire. THIS IS NOT A LAUGHING THING. You may not intend it, but you could potentially burn down a complete forest just kidding around.
So please, before you start lighting things on fire think about the outcome.
STOP THE BURNING BEFORE WE DONT HAVE OUR TRAIL'S ANYMORE!
Thanks,
Jordan, along other Slessy Mountain riders and builders.

if anyone else notices this happening either at slessy or anywhere else for that matter and there is only one or two other vehicles on the hill then write down their licence plate numbers and pass it on to the athorities and let them deal with these idiots.
Why would they even think of that?!?!? That's the stupidest thing i've ever see and I hope karma does it's thing...
